Manufacture and Shipment
In October 2023, two long-term clients from Thailand contacted LYROAD Machinery, a subsidiary of ACE Group, with inquiries about solutions for processing Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP). Both clients explained that their existing project sites in Saraburi and Lopburi already had virgin asphalt plants, but new Thai government regulations required them to incorporate recycling capabilities. After thorough analysis of their requirements, production capacity, and compatibility with existing equipment, our technical team recommended the RLB60 Asphalt Recycling Plant as the perfect match for their needs. The clients, based on the trust established through previous successful projects in the Thai market, simultaneously placed orders for these specialized recycling plants within one month.

The manufacturing process commenced in November 2023 and was completed by the end of January 2024. Before shipment, comprehensive testing of these asphalt recycling plants was conducted in our factory in China, ensuring all components were functioning optimally under controlled conditions. The plants were carefully prepared for shipping in early February 2024. The modular design of these recycling plants significantly simplified the logistics process, with all components properly secured to prevent damage during transportation.

Installation and Commissioning
The installation of both RLB60 Asphalt Recycling Plants began simultaneously in April 2024 at the clients' sites in Saraburi and Lopburi. The technical team from LYROAD Machinery efficiently managed both installations, demonstrating our capability for high-standard project delivery. The integration with existing virgin asphalt plants was a key focus, ensuring seamless operation between the original plants and the new recycling units.

During the commissioning phase, rigorous testing was conducted on the hot air furnaces, RAP drying drum, recycling agent addition system, and flue gas purification systems. The plants demonstrated excellent performance with optimal RAP processing capabilities. Thanks to the thorough preparation in China, the on-site installation proceeded smoothly, with all systems properly connected from the RAP feeders to the control systems. The commissioning was successfully completed in May 2024, with both plants ready for trial operation.
RAP Processing Capacity | 60 t/h |
Fuel Consumption | Coal: 13~15 kg/t; Diesel: 6~8 kg/t |
Weighing Accuracy | Dynamic: ±2.5%; Static: ±0.5% |
Installed Power (RAP equipment) | 130 kW |
Max. RAP Proportion (Matched LB Series Virgin Asphalt Plant) |
50% (with LB1200) |
40% (with LB1500) | |
30% (with LB2000) |
The entire process from inquiry to commercial operation was completed within 8 months, demonstrating LYROAD Machinery's commitment to efficiency and customer satisfaction, especially notable as it involved the simultaneous delivery of two identical plants to different locations. The clients expressed high satisfaction regarding three key aspects of the asphalt recycling plants: environmental protection capabilities, resource conservation features, and significant reduction in operational costs compared to using all virgin materials.
Business Operation and Current Condition
Both RLB60 Asphalt Recycling Plants have been operating successfully in Thailand since June 2024. According to the clients, the plants deliver consistent 60t/h processing capacity with excellent recycled mix quality, thanks to their precise control systems and efficient RAP processing technology. They particularly value the plants' dust control systems that maintain emissions well within Thai environmental standards. The clients also mentioned that the plants' ability to incorporate up to 50% RAP into new asphalt mixtures has proven to be a significant advantage, allowing them to meet government environmental requirements while substantially reducing material costs for road rehabilitation projects across Thailand.
