Plant Location: Democratic Republic of the Congo (DR Congo)
Type: Super-mobile, Drum Mix, All-in-one Design, Rapid Installation
Model: IAP120
Rated Capacity: 120 t/h (Tons per hour)
Project Initiation: IAP120 Asphalt Plant for DR Congo's Road Projects
The project began in October 2024 when a Congolese construction company sought a high-efficiency asphalt plant solution that could be quickly deployed for critical road rehabilitation projects. After evaluating the client's requirements for mobility, installation speed, and production capacity, ACE Group recommended the IAP120 Integrated Mobile Asphalt Plant. This innovative model features an all-in-one design that integrates the entire production line into a single mobile unit, significantly reducing transportation costs and installation time—key advantages for remote African projects. The client particularly valued the plant's fuel efficiency (diesel consumption of just 6.5 kg/ton) and compact footprint, which made it ideal for their challenging project sites.
Following the contract signing, manufacturing commenced immediately at ACE's facility. The production process emphasized key components of the mobile asphalt drum mix plant: the parallel-flow drying drum, dust collector with folding chimney, stable automotive chassis, and the intelligent control system featuring Siemens electronics, etc. Rigorous quality control ensured all components met ACE Group's high standards before shipment preparation began in November 2024.
Efficient Logistics: Mobile Asphalt Plant's Journey to DR Congo
The shipment phase was meticulously planned to ensure safe and timely delivery to the DRC. The entire IAP120 unit was containerized in late November 2024 at ACE Group's manufacturing base, taking advantage of its integrated design which requires fewer containers than conventional plants. Our detailed packing list—including container quantities, module positions, and component specifications, etc.—facilitated smooth customs clearance, allowed clients to efficiently verify shipments against the checklist upon arrival, and supported seamless installation planning.
Following a 6-8 week maritime shipment from China to the DR Congo's port under specialized protective protocols, the equipment was successfully delivered to the DRC in early 2025. Meanwhile, a complementary 10t LTG-8 bitumen decanter was also dispatched in January 2025 to support the integrated mobile asphalt plant's efficient production.
Smooth Installation & Commissioning of Mobile Asphalt Drum Mix Plant in DRC
In June 2025, the IAP120 mobile asphalt plant's erection commenced at the project site. The all-in-one design and modular construction enabled remarkably efficient assembly—the entire plant was operational within days rather than weeks. ACE Group's technical experts were on-site to supervise the installation, referencing the provided foundation drawings and electrical diagrams to ensure perfect setup. The plant's automotive chassis with robust structure (made of low-alloy high-strength steel) provided excellent stability on the uneven terrain, while the folding components simplified the installation process significantly.
Commissioning was completed in late June 2025, followed by comprehensive operator training using ACE Group's detailed operation manual. The training covered all aspects of plant operation, from the cold feeders and drying drum to the dust collection system and asphalt mixture bin. By July 2025, the IAP120 super-mobile asphalt drum mix plant was producing high-quality asphalt mix at its full 120 t/h capacity, meeting all project requirements for temperature consistency (130-165℃ adjustable) and emissions control (≤100 mg/Nm³).
